Low Country Cooking
Saturday, January 17, 2009
6:30pm
Hosts:
1. Don Rentfrow & Scott Duncan
Whether you call it Low Country, Southern, or Soul Food, the ingredients and cooking styles are similar. Around our house, we just call it deep fried, gravy covered goodness. It's the most comforting of comfort foods; it warms the body and feeds the soul; and it's the best thing for a cold, winter day.
Brush up on your country cuisine and join us for the first Gathering of 2009.

Shishkebob, satay, heck, even popscicles. Everything is a little more fun to eat when you put it on a stick. Maybe it's our childhood experiences at the county fair or every carnival you've ever attended - skewered food just goes with summertime fun.
Gerry & Kristin Triolo have decided to open their home to the entire Get Together Gourmets group for our July Gathering. They've got plenty of space, and a fantastic grill (if you want to add a little char to your skewers). So figure out how to put your favorite dish on a stick and join us for this month's Gathering!
